Kids Card Class

I have been struggling to find customers since becoming a demonstrator in March. After attending convention I became inspired to "up" my efforts and have decided to hold a couple of card classes for some young crafters in the area. With it being summer I am sure there are some children (and parents!) who are struggling to find ideas to fill their days with fun activities.

If a child you know would like to attend my "Sesame Stix Art Class" on  Saturday,
Aug 9/14 from 10 a.m. to noon please contact me at the above email address or give me a call. The cost is $10 per child. Registration closes on Thursday, Aug 7 at noon and spots are limited so contact me soon to hold their spot! I look forward to sharing some creativity!

Have a wonderful day!

July Paper Pumpkin

I was happy to see July's My Paper Pumpkin waiting for me when I returned from convention; it made the post-convention blues a little dimmer!

This month's kit is super cute and includes projects featuring one of the new In Colors, Blackberry Bliss. Included in the kit is an ink spot along with supplies to make 6 gift boxes AND 6 cards! Ribbon, baker's twine, a 10 piece stamp set, silver star punchouts, and more was also included! What a great value! There are tons of leftovers for other projects if you choose to complete all PP projects as designed.
I quickly made up 1 card and gift box as instructed. At Convention Shelli gave us some great ideas for alternative card designs which I think I'll try out!
The gift boxes measure approximately 3 x 3 x 3 inches when completed. Aren't they cute!?

Why not give My Paper Pumpkin a try? If you are a new subscriber you can get the next 2 kits for half price which works out to about $13 (CA) - shipping AND taxes included! Get one for you and a friend! There is no penalty if you cancel or put your subscription "on hold" though I promise you won't want to miss out on these exclusive projects that are delivered right to your door each month. Subscribers will also get a bonus project mailed to them from me each month using the supplies received in your MPP (My Paper Pumpkin) kit. This half price offer is available only until September 10.

Convention Swap

I thought I would share with you the swap card I made for convention. This is my first time attending the Stampin' Up! annual convention in Salt Lake City, Utah, and I am so excited (and nervous!) I hope my fellow demonstrators like my creation! I will be swapping these for some other demonstrators' creations for ideas and inspiration.

Paper: Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Wild Wasabi, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Jet Black StazOn, Basic Black

Nuts About You

Today is our 8th wedding anniversary and I decided to whip up a cute anniversary card for my hubbie (10 minutes before he got home from work!). I have been getting ready for the Stampin' Up! convention in Utah later this week! I always think I have lots of time and then suddenly - eeeekkkk!! Panic sets in!

I used the new hostess set Nuts About You. All the hostess sets can be found near the back of the annual catalogue. This stamp set features 11 stamps and costs hostesses only $12 (CA) for a clear mount set! However, this set is ONLY available if you host a qualifying party with $200 or more in sales. Don't have time to clean and prepare to host a party? No problem! Host a book party only or just purchase items for yourself! Who ever said you can't have a party with just 1 person?!

Supplies Used:
Ink: Mossy Meadow, Early Espresso
Paper: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Big Shot: Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Labels Collection Framelits
Accessories: 1-1/4" Burlap Ribbon
Other: SNAIL adhesive, sponge

Thanks for visiting! Happy Stampin'!

SUO Challenge 100

This week's challenge at SUO Challenges is "Blast From the Past"- choose any one of the first 99 challenges and create something using only Stampin' Up! products! I chose Challenge #48 - For the Birds.

One of the swaps I have made for next week's convention in Salt Lake City fits this challenge perfectly! I used the stamp sets For the Birds and Gorgeous Grunge to create a card that features lots of different products from the current catalogue! Petite Petals stamp set and punch were also used in Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango, and Daffodil Delight. The sentiment is from Four You.I made good use of my Stampin' Up Markers to color the focal image. Some Rhinestone Basic Jewels at the center of each flower add the finishing touch!
Happy Stampin!

Hello Honey!

I thought I would show you a comparison of the new 2014-2016 In Color Hello Honey to a couple of current Stampin' Up! colors from the other color families.
On the left is Crushed Curry (I need to order that ink pad!) and to the right is Daffodil Delight. As you can see, Hello Honey is a more saturated yellow with brown undertones. I read somewhere that it is what Summer Starfruit should have been! I quite like Hello Honey paired with the new In Color Blackberry Bliss. Give it a try! I would love to see your creations with this new color.

Thanks for stopping by!
