I got this adorable single stamp in my last order and hadn't inked it up until today! He is super-adorable and will bring a smile to the face of anyone! One of my nieces is in her first year of nursing school in Nova Scotia and I thought I would send this cutie-pie off to her. Texting and social media is awesome for instant communication but nothing beats opening the mailbox and seeing an envelope that isn't a bill or junk mail!
The blendabilities would have worked well for this image but I don't have any in koala colours! I used my regular Basic Grey and Smoky Slate markers as well as Pink Pirouette along with my Black Staz-On ink. Hello Honey, Blackberry Bliss, Basic Grey, and Whisper White are the other colours featured on the card. The background paper is from the Moonlight DSP paper stack.
Winter has arrived here in Alberta and Christmas is just over 6 weeks away! eeek! Time sure flies doesn't it?! I've got a couple of upcoming Christmas card classes this month - here are details of the projects.

Next up is my Classic Christmas card class on Wed Nov 26 from 7-9 pm. Class fee is $15 and includes the 3 cards pictured below as well as envelopes.Deadline for registration is Sunday Nov 23 at 7 pm.
I noticed when I was taking the pictures for these classes
that I had the times/dates on my display board incorrectly at the craft
show on Saturday - oops!! I pulled a switcheroo ....above are the
correct dates for the respective classes.
On Monday Nov 24 I am having my first Kards with Krista class - a no commitment monthly night out with the girls where we make 3 cards or other project including Christmas, Birthday, and more! Class fee is $10 or free with a minimum order. This class is also 7-9 pm. Registration also closes Sunday Nov 16 at 7 p.m.
All classes will be held at my home in the SW community of Braeside in Calgary.
I will also be holding a kids art class on Sunday, Dec 7 for ages 6-9. Fee is $15 and is from 1-3 pm. Parents are welcome to stay but not required. Registration closes Monday Dec 1 at 7pm. We will be making a Christmas card, a Minion bookmark, and a birthday card - I will post a picture of those projects tomorrow.
Please contact me ASAP to reserve your spot for any or all of the above classes - I would love to have you join me!
Yesterday I had a table set up at a local craft sale and I am pleased to say it went well! Thank you to all who stopped by - I hope to see many of you again at an upcoming card class - more details on upcoming classes to come.
I thought I would share with you a couple pictures from the sale - this was my first time being a vendor at a craft sale and I am proud to say it wasn't as scary as I thought it would be!
The wine gift tags were a hit along with lumps of coal, "magic reindeer food" and nail files I had packaged up as stocking stuffers.
I have been busy getting ready for an upcoming craft sale this Saturday. I think I am finally feeling ready....I wish I would have had more than 3 weeks notice to prepare, but I am pleased with the projects I have completed and have a nice selection for attendees to choose from. I will post pictures next week Most of what I did was stocking stuffer/treats and I have posted information about upcoming classes I am planning along with the card samples.
I needed a business card holder for my table and saw some great ideas on Pinterest. I found an old cassette tape case buried in a box in the basement (I am showing my age a bit here!) and upcycled it using the What's Up? stamp set and coordinating punch along with some Melon Mambo, Basic Black, and Gumball Green (retired) to match my business cards!
Not too shabby for 10 mins of work plus it saved me a trip to the store to buy one!
Come visit me at the Woodcreek Community Centre at 1991 Woodview Drive, SW Calgary on Saturday between 10-3 where I will have a table set up - I would love to meet you and say hi!
It's Tuesday and that means new weekly deals from Stampin' Up! All supplies shown are listed in Canadian dollars and can be found on my online store or, if you prefer, contact me directly to place your order! These prices will continue through until Monday, Nov 10 at 11:59 p.m.
Balloons are fun for anyone, any age in my opinion. I have surprised my husband a couple of times with a balloon bouquet for special occasions and he said no one had ever gotten him balloons before! Awwww. They are fun, bright, and cheery and you don't have to spend a fortune (even better!) I created this birthday card for my stash when I was at a crafting retreat in beautiful Banff recently.
Paper: Strawberry Slush, Whisper White, Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Strawberry Slush, Back to Black DSP,
Wow - I can't believe November is here already! Sorry I've been MIA lately - life gets in the way sometimes, ya know?! I have been busy getting ready for my very first craft sale which is next weekend. I had my name on a cancellation list and found out about 10 days ago that they had had a cancellation and I was offered the table. Yikes! I am excited but nervous too...I am hoping to connect with some ladies in the area that might like to attend a card-making class or two or even sign up for a monthly stamp club or drop in for some cookies and cards!
I created this fun subway art card for one of my nieces who recently found out she got accepted to optometry school! I found a great card on pinterest for my inspiration; unfortunately I must not have pinned it because I can't find it now to give credit to the original artist! If this was you please let me know so I can give you the credit you deserve! I used the Bravo Photopolymer Stamp Set and the 2014-2016 to create this fun card:
The Bravo Photopolymer Stamp Set can be found in my online store along with all the other supplies, or contact me if you would like to place an order; I will be placing an order in the next few days if you would like to save on the shipping!
