Bring Birthdays Back!

A couple months ago a fabulous Stampin' Up! employee in Utah, Shannon West, decided that social media has really ruined the celebration of birthdays. She started an initiative called #imbringingbirthdaysback to bring back the art of sending birthday cards! Posting a message on Facebook isn't enough - isn't it SO much nicer to receive cards in your mailbox instead of bills?! She posted a message on Facebook telling people to message her their birthday and she will personally send you a card! Go check it out and join the #imbringingbirthdaysback movement!

Stampin' Up! (of course) jumped on the bandwagon and made a stamp to support this initiative, and it will be available tomorrow while supplies last! The original stamp was handcarved by Shannon herself - how cool is that?!

It can be ordered from my online store starting at midnight tonight (item #143573). Don't miss out! Send me YOUR birthday and I will be sure to send you a birthday card too!

Join the movement and order your stamp soon - they won't last long!

February Thank You

I always send my customers a thank you card when they place an order, and I saw a clean and simple thank you card by Jessica Taylor that I just had to CASE (Copy and Share Everything). I changed it up just a tad but it was still quick and cute which equals a win in my books!
Stamp Sets: You've Got This, Watercolor Thank You
Paper: Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Wisteria Wonder, Calypso Coral
Ink: Pool Party, Archival Basic Black
Other: Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

If an online customer chooses "No contact" I have no way to personally thank them. I REALLY APPRECIATE each and every one of my customers and want to send them a homemade card so be sure not to click the "no contact" button! I value you and want to show my appreciation :o)

Have a wonderful weekend!

It's My Party Gift Card Holder

I don't know about you, but I give away a lot of gift cards! All of my family lives in different cities and provinces from me, and with the high cost of postage, sending parcels just isn't very cost effective. When I saw a video tutorial by fellow demonstrator Lyssa Griffin Zwolanek for a quick and simple gift card holder, I just had to give it a try!
I just got the It's My Party DSP stack and LOVE the bright colours and cute prints so I choose my colour palette right from that stack. Melon Mambo was my base cut 4.25' x 11", scored at 4.5", 5.5", and 6.5". A little adhesive, a couple punches from the Word Window Punch, and I was ready to decorate! My DSP strips were cut 0.75" x 4", the balloon stamped from Party Pants with Crushed Curry and cut it out (still awaiting my balloon punch!), and I finished off the inside with stamps from Party Wishes Stamp Set. It came together really quick and is perfect for mailing!

You can shop in my online store to get these supplies; with a $60 purchase (before taxes and shipping) you can choose the Party Pants stamp set for free until March 31, 2016, during Sale-A-Bration!

Sky is the Limit for SUOC #141

There's only a few more days to earn the Sale-A-Bration set Sky is the Limit for free - place a $60 (Canadian) order before taxes and shipping on or before February 15 and choose this adorable set as your SAB freebie! We used this set to make a cute birthday card last week at my SAB card class, and I am entering it for the Stampin' Up! Only Challenge (SUOC) #141 which has "Happy Birthday" as the challenge! I often struggle with creating masculine cards, but this wonderful set with the vintage airplane makes it easy peasy :-)
Ink: Smoky Slate, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Basic Black Archival
Paper: Whisper White, Lost Lagoon, White Corrugated
Stamp Sets: Sky is the Limit, Kinda Eclectic
Punches: Tree Builder
I stamped off the "sun" image first to lighten the Hello Honey a bit. The idea of using the corrugated paper for my "clouds" I got from my upline, Allison. I forget about that corrugated paper, but I really like it lots and need to use it more. It also comes in Kraft - you get two 12x12 sheets of both in the package (item #138317) for only $8.75!

Be sure to snatch up these Sale-A-Bration freebies before they are gone for good on February 16!

Happy Stampin'!

Paper Pumpkin Alternative Project

I have subscribed to Paper Pumpkin from almost the very beginning....I love getting a surprise box of crafting goodies once a month from Stampin' Up! with an exclusive stamp set, an ink spot (or 2), and a wonderful project to create (with instructions included) delivered right to my door by FedEx. Did you know it's on sale right now? That's right! You can get a prepaid 3-month subscription to Paper Pumpkin for $69 AND choose a free Sale-A-Bration item too! Why not give the gift of creativity to a loved one? Get one for you and one for your friend or family member too! Contact me to start your subscriptions today!

Last month's box of goodies had supplies to create an adorable Valentine banner and treat pockets. I decided to change it up a little bit and used the supplies to make Valentine cards instead! I just added a couple pieces of cardstock and everything else came right from the Paper Pumpkin kit. I was inspired by fellow Canadian demonstrator Angela McKay - you can see her card here.

After I took a few of the sequins off the trim to attach to the cards I used a couple strands of the Watermelon Wonder thread to make a cute bow!

Tomorrow night I'm having a card class featuring some of the wonderful Sale-A-Bration products available right now. There's only a few days left before 3 of the items are gone forever! Head over to my online store - with every $60 purchase (Canadian) before taxes and shipping, you can choose a SAB item for FREE!
