So Long, Tap, Tap, Tap

It took me a long time to warm up to Tap, Tap, Tap - my upline and teammates kept raving about the old vintage typewriter, but I just wasn't feeling it for the longest time for some reason! Well, I finally jumped on the bandwagon a few months ago and added this gem to my collection, and now I am SO SAD to say it is retiring!! That's typical for me though I find.....a new fad or "in" thing will be around for months and months until I finally appreciate it and fall in love....then it is gone! lol Oh well, the departure of Tap, Tap, Tap and the 2014-2016 In Colours will just mean more room on my shelves for new products, right?!!

Today's card (inspired by my teammate and friend Shannon) features lots of retiring products including the Going Places DSP, the gorgeous 2014-2016 In Colours, Typeset DSP, Venetian Crochet Trim, and of course the Tap, Tap, Tap stamp set. As I write up this post, everything that is retiring is still available - including the Venetian Crochet Trim at 40% off!  Now, while stamps are guaranteed to be available until at least May 22, all the DSP and accessories are WHILE SUPPLIES LAST so if there is something you cannot live without, order it NOW!!
I anticipate it won't be long before the 2014-2016 In Colour ink refills and paper are going to be out of stock so be sure to snatch those up too right away too!

Here's another card I have made in the past using Tap, Tap, Tap and the Typeset DSP. That Gold Baker's Twine is going to be leaving us too May 31 (or sooner).
Less than a week and demonstrators get to order some new goodies from the new catalogue! Eeep! I can't wait!
Happy Shopping!

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy!

I used 2 awesome sets from the Occasions catalogue to create this fresh and summer-y card - Apple of My Eye and Timeless Textures. The colour palette is simple with Daffodil Delight and Basic Black with a splash of Cucumber Crush for the little leaf. This card was quick to put together and would be perfect for mass producing - thank you to fellow demonstrator Erica Cerwin from Texas for the inspiration!
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Archival Basic Black, Cucumber Crush
Stamp Sets: Apple of My Eye, Tin of Cards, Timeless Textures
Paper: Daffodil Delight, Basic Black, Whisper White, Pretty Petals DSP, Brights DSP

Timeless Textures and Tin of Cards are both carrying over into the new Annual Catalogue that comes out June 1, 2016, but Apple of My Eye will only be available until May 31! Be sure to head to my online store to add this must-have to your collection before it's gone forever!

Have a fabulous week!

I'm a Little Teapot

A popular bundle in the Occasions Catalogue is the Cups & Kettle Framelits Dies along with the A Nice Cuppa stamp set. (When purchased as a bundle you save 15%) While these pair perfectly together, you can just use the framelits to create cute teacup or teapot images too! I simply used the teapot framelit and some DSP from Pretty Petals DSP stack to create the main focus of today's card.
A tiny bit of stamping was all that was needed to complete this cutie! The sad news? This bundle is NOT being carried over into the new catalogue! The Framelits especially are SO adorable with a miniature fork, knife, and spoon; a lot of people will be wanting to grab them before they retire on May 31. They will be available only WHILE SUPPLIES LAST so don't delay- order now to avoid disappointment!! The Pretty Petals DSP stack and the tea lace paper doilies are also retiring are while supplies last.

This card was CASE'd from Dawn Olchefske; you can see her original card here.

Can you believe some things are already sold out from the Retiring List?! Here's the up-to-date list here.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous weekend!

Owl Nurse

I mentioned a few days ago that I have 3 nieces attending university this year who are finishing up their exams this week. My niece in Nova Scotia is finishing up her 2nd year of nursing and has a month-long practicum starting next week at one of the local hospitals. I sent this little notecard to her recently to help brighten her day!

I LOVE all the little critters you can create with the Owl Builder Punch and am SO GLAD it is not retiring!  The nurse's cap is the owl "shirt" from the punch turned upside down (with part of it tucked behind the owl's head). The red "cross" pieces are from a retired punch from SU. I have used these for "cattails" before!

Most of the supplies used can be found below...if you have questions about the colours used, drop me a line and ! would be happy to help!

Retiring List Now Available!

It's that time of the year again when we say goodbye to some old favorites and get ready to welcome new favorites into our stamp rooms! I swear the annual catalogue JUST came out...but alas...it has been nearly a year already! The current annual catalogue and occasions catalogue both retire May 31/16 and many products will not be carrying over. Of course the 2014-2016 In Colours will be leaving <insert sad face here> and are GUARANTEED to sell out quickly! Now is the time to order ink refills, paper, DSP, Washi Tape, etc.featuring Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist, and Mossy Meadow.

Due to the popularity of retiring stamp sets, they will continue to be manufactured until May 22, but all other retiring products (DSP, punches, framelits, embossing folders, ribbon, etc.) are WHILE SUPPLIES LAST, so if there's something you just can't live without....order it ASAP to avoid disappointment!

Click here for the link to the retiring list. The list is pretty extensive; a lot of punches and framelits are being retired. but don't worry - there are TONS of awesome new products on the horizon!!

Demonstrators can view the new catalogue online if they weren't able to attend a local OnStage event this past weekend. It's one of the best things about being a demonstrator - SNEAK PEEKS!! Contact me to join the Stampin' Up! family and see the new catalogue before it is released to customers!

Order your must-haves from my online store or contact me today!

You're Sublime!

Happy Wednesday, my friends! I can't believe April is nearly half gone and the university year is coming to an end! I have 3 nieces in university right now, and I thought I would send them a little note of encouragement as they prepare for final exams! You're Sublime is an adorable stamp set that has been far too neglected on my shelf so I thought I would pull it out to create a quick note card. And good news...it will be sticking around with the release of the new Annual Catalogue next month! Stampin' Up! released the names of 8 stamp sets which would be sticking around just to help demonstrators prepare swaps for this weekend's OnStage events!
Sea Street and Sprinkles of Life sets were also used - for a small note card, that's a lot of sets! I just cut the Marina Mist "waves" freehand before adhering it to the piece of 3-1/4 x 4-3/4" Kraft cardstock, and I used my blender pen to colour the submarine before I cut it out using my paper snips.
I lightly coloured the windows with Soft Sky before adding some Crystal Effects.Make sure you let the Crystal Effects sit to dry overnight before popping it in the envelope!
You can find a list of the supplies used at the bottom of this post - just click on the product to place an order in my online store!

I hope you're having a fabulous week!

Shoebox Swap Reject

I took part in a team shoebox swap a couple weeks ago - it was a blast! A shoebox swap is where each participant designs a card and takes all the supplies needed for the other people to recreate that project. It's a fun way to attend AND host a class all in one with fellow team members! Each card should be fairly straightforward and not take more than 10 or 15 minutes to complete. I love the bright and fun colours in this springy card but because it involved watercolouring, I rejected this project - I didn't want to be the reason my team members felt rushed and stressed out! Don't get me wrong - watercolouring is fun and the end results are stunning, but sometimes it takes a few tries to get the shading you want and then you have to let it dry after that. Not a great project to take on when you're pressed for time!
Ink: Basic Black Archival, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, Wild Wasabi
Paper: Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White
Stamps: Grateful Bunch, Happy Birthday, Everyone
Other: Blossom Bunch Punch, Aquapainter

I love the swirly twirly font in the Happy Birthday, Everyone stamp set! This set is exclusive to hostesses meaning that you have to host a party (or place an order totaling a minimum of $200) to get it. Gather a few friends and contact me to book a class! This stamp set will no longer be available in a couple months - the hostess sets never stick around at the end of an annual catalogue. <SNIFF> We'll find out what other sets will be leaving and which ones will be sticking around on April 18 when the retired list is available. Check back here then for all the deets!

Happy Stampin'!

I'm Gonna Miss you Blackberry Bliss!

In less than 2 months we will have to say goodbye to the 2014-2016 In Colours...the gorgeous Blackberry Bliss, Tangelo Twist, Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey, and Mossy Meadow. I chose Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, and Mossy Meadow to watercolour the large flower from the Birthday Blooms stamp set from the Occasions Catalogue. I ran a 4 x 5-1/4" piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock through the Big Shot with the Brick Wall Embossing Folder. I am going to miss this deep, luscious purple SO much!

The retiring list comes out on April 18, and it is guaranteed that anything featuring the 2014-2016 In Colours will be on it - ribbon, DSP, embellishments, ink, paper, etc. BUT DON'T WAIT!!! Stock up NOW on your favorites because they will not last. In fact, sometimes the Stampin' Up! warehouse runs out of things (like the ink refills and paper especially) BEFORE the retirement list is even released! I tell you....don't mess with stampers - we are known to hoard stock up on our favorites and never want to let them go!

Contact me to place an order or head to my online store where you can shop 24/7!

Hope you're having a great week!
